Research Areas

Professor of Humanities specializing in the philosophy of mind. Her research focuses on the philosophy of knowledge and mind, as well as the philosophy and theory of science. She works primarily within the tradition of analytic philosophy and Roman Ingarden’s phenomenology, seeking connections between these two perspectives. Her current interests also include the philosophical challenges arising from the rapid development of modern technologies—particularly questions concerning values, human identity, and the place of humans in an increasingly technologized world. Through her work, she explores the specificity and uniqueness of the human cognitive system and the limits of human understanding.

  1. Center for Cognitive Science at Rutgers University – grant from the Ministry of Science and Higher Education for the Polish-American Cooperation for the project “Argumentation as a Cognitive Process” (realised together with prof. Włodzisław Duch and prof. Jacek Malinowski)

  5. Membership of the Commitee for the title „doctor scientarum” (“Doctor of sciences” (which is equiivalent to the title of Professor) in the field of Philosophy of the Czech Academy of Sciences
