KOGNI-TOR 2026 – National Cognitive Science Student Association Convention in Toruń
October 16–17, 2026 | Toruń
On October 16–17, 2026, Toruń will host the first edition of KOGNI-TOR — the National Cognitive Science Student Association Convention. The event is organized in collaboration with the Department of Cognitive Science at Nicolaus Copernicus University in Toruń and cognitive science student societies from across Poland. The Polish Cognitive Science Society has granted honorary patronage over the event.
KOGNI-TOR was created to integrate individuals for whom participating in a student research group is or has been part of their cognitive science journey. We invite current members of student associations, alumni, doctoral students, and graduates pursuing scientific or professional careers in areas such as emerging technologies, IT, UX, or game development.
The convention aims to provide a collaborative space to exchange knowledge and experience, showcase academic work, build networks, and foster partnerships among cognitive science communities across various academic institutions in Poland.
The KOGNI-TOR program will feature oral and poster presentations, workshops, thematic tracks organized by student societies, guest lectures, and networking events. Participants will also have the opportunity to explore Toruń and its academic scene.
The conference themes reflect the interdisciplinary nature of cognitive science, including brain and mind research, psychology, language, philosophy, artificial intelligence, technology, games, and the social dimensions of cognition.
The event will take place at the NCU Institute of Psychology / NCU Department of Cognitive Science (39 Gagarina St.) and the NCU Copernican Initiative Center (KOI) in Toruń.
