Research Areas

My research interests focus on the development of social cognition and emotion understanding in children. I study how philosophical dialogue and educational methods such as Philosophy for Children (P4C) support the growth of cognitive and emotional abilities in early childhood. I am particularly interested in how children conceptualize the mind, thinking, and emotions, and how these processes relate to language development. As part of this work, I co-developed the Interview about the Mind (IaM), a tool designed to assess children’s understanding of the mind. Another important area of my research involves exploring cross-cultural differences in how the mind and emotions are understood, as well as the role of philosophical reflection in fostering children’s social and emotional development
