Associate Professor

Research Areas

The continuous focus of my research is the problem of self-knowledge understood as privileged access to one’s own mental states in the context of embodied cognition. A central question here is whether we can be mistaken about ourselves, and if so, whether first-person authority should be rejected. I have extended my research to include the role of metacognition in education as part of a project conducted in Berlin on personalized learning. I also continuously conduct research on mental representations in models of the mind.
