Anna Karczmarczyk, PhD
Vice-director of the Institute of Information and Communication Research
Assistant Professor
Research Interests
My research focuses on interdisciplinary approaches to bodily self-awareness and its disturbances, early forms of social cognition, and attachment theory. I am particularly interested in integrating philosophical and psychological perspectives on the bodily self. My recent work addresses the role of interpersonal interactions in shaping affective bodily awareness. I also explore the developmental origins of emotions and interoception in relation to attachment. A central focus of my research is emotion regulation processes within the infant–caregiver dyad. In addition, I investigate the links between attachment and affective theory of mind. Currently, I am especially engaged in analyzing the notion of attachment within the framework of classical and contemporary theories of emotion.
