Anna Karczmarczyk, PhD
Vice-Director of the Institute
Assistant Professor
Research Interests
My research focuses on interdisciplinary approaches to bodily self-awareness and its disturbances, early forms of social cognition, and attachment theory. I am interested in integrating philosophical and psychological perspectives on how we experience our bodies and our sense of self in relation to others, as well as how interpersonal interactions shape the emotional tone of bodily awareness. I also explore the developmental origins of emotions and interoception in relation to attachment, especially their influence on emotional regulation.
