Research Areas

His research spans a variety of fascinating areas, beginning with cross-cultural studies that focus on children’s Theory of Mind (ToM) and social knowledge. He investigates how children across different cultures understand others and navigate social interactions. Delving into mental lay ontologies, he explores mental concepts in both adults and children, aiming to deepen our understanding of how we perceive and interpret the thoughts and feelings of others. His work also addresses the realms of creativity and emotions, examining how these aspects influence cognitive development and how individuals think about non-natural minds. In addition, he is deeply engaged in cultural learning, exploring how culture shapes thinking, moral decision-making, and self-concept. His recent studies have turned to the impact of COVID-19, focusing on its effects on children and older individuals, providing valuable insights into the challenges faced during this time. Moreover, he is particularly interested in the Artificial Mind, investigating the implications of artificial intelligence and how it affects social cognition and our understanding of mental concepts. Through his research, he aims to illuminate the connections between culture, cognition, and the evolving landscape of artificial intelligence.
