Research Areas

My research interests focus on bodily self-awareness and the experience of the body, examined from the perspectives of philosophy of mind and neuroscience, particularly within the framework of embodied cognition. I investigate differences in the perception and conceptualization of mental states (mental life) in adults, taking into account cultural, social, and psychological contexts. An important area of my research concerns the understanding of social and cognitive strategies underlying health-related behaviors, as well as approaches to health and health crises. In my work, I analyze the role of interoception and bodily awareness as factors influencing self-regulation, body image, and health-related decision-making. I am also engaged in the application of advanced technologies, such as VR and MR, as well as neurobiofeedback, in both scientific research and therapeutic interventions.
