On Saturday, 20 June 2026, during the „NCU Goodbye Party”, this year’s graduates – who had travelled to us from Azerbaijan, Belarus, China, Lebanon, Morocco, Germany, Italy, Russia, Tunisia, Turkey, Uganda, Ukraine and Venezuela – received their congratulation letters.

Dear International Alumni 2026!
We would like to thank you for choosing Poland and the Nicolaus Copernicus University from among so many educational paths. We are convinced that this decision will provide you with excellent opportunities for both professional and personal growth.

For those leaving the University walls, it was a moment filled with deep emotion and pride. During the event, graduates and their accompanying guests had the opportunity to learn Gaudeamus igitur – the traditional Latin student anthem – together with the NCU Academic Choir. They were also introduced to the wide array of opportunities offered by the NCU Alumni Programme, designed to help them maintain a lifelong bond with their Alma Mater.

A key highlight of the ceremony was a lecture titled „Humanity in the Age of Digital Artificial Intelligence”, delivered by Professor Włodzisław Duch. The presentation by this eminent cognitive scientist and AI pioneer inspired these young creators of the future to reflect deeply on the relationship between human potential and technology. The lecture provided the Graduates with valuable insights into the opportunities and challenges awaiting them in the rapidly changing world they are now entering as full-fledged members of the academic community.

The crowning moment of the event was the formal presentation of congratulatory letters by the university authorities: a symbolic culmination of their years of perseverance and hard work.
