Where is the Begining of a Self-awarness?

Many people asks many questions such as: What is a self-awarness? Where does it come from? How we develop one? or more importantly when we develop one? These are really difficult questions, but some of them can be answered in a new article by Dr. Anna Kaczmarczyk entilted „Embodied beginnings: touch as a developmental foundation of self-awareness”.
What’s intersting origins of self-awareness begin in suprsingly young age. Dr. Kaczmarczyk argues that it starts developing with very first tactile encouters with the caregiver.
This “skin to skin” contact provides the unique opportunity for both experiencing infant’s own body and the body of caregiver at the same time. It is especially salient when feeling affective touch, aspecial kind of pleasant, gentle touch experienced in interactions with a close other.
